TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By providing your fingerprints for service, you consent that you have read and understood the following:

1. You have read and selected the most appropriate type of fingerprint request for your purpose(s).
2. Surrey Fingerprinting Services is responsible only for capturing and submitting fingerprints to the RCMP.
3. The processing and mailing of official clearance certificates are handled by the RCMP.
4. Surrey Fingerprinting Services does NOT store fingerprints once they have been submitted to the RCMP.
5. Surrey Fingerprinting Services does NOT have access to the RCMP’s criminal record database.
6. Surrey Fingerprinting Services does NOT know whether you have or had a criminal record.
7. You acknowledge that the processing time is only an estimate and may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as delays by the RCMP or your personal circumstances (e.g., prior criminal records).
8. You acknowledge that your official RCMP clearance certificate is sent by the RCMP via REGULAR MAIL. You are advised to complete the fingerprint process well in advance of the deadline provided by the requesting organization/agency to avoid processing delays.
9. Surrey Fingerprinting Services is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any missed deadlines due to any delays.
10. You agree to contact the RCMP for a status update if you have not received your certificate within 3 weeks.
11. You acknowledge that all pricing information was provided to you before the service. You are under no obligation to use our services if you do not agree with the prices.
12. In the rare event that the RCMP rejects your fingerprints due to low quality, Surrey Fingerprinting Services will provide a complimentary re-take of the fingerprints. However, the $25.00 RCMP fee, if applicable, will be your responsibility.
13. If your fingerprint application is rejected due to an error, your fingerprint application will be re-submitted free of charge, or all fees collected will be refunded. Fees paid are only for the fingerprinting services, and any refund or responsibility is strictly limited to the amount of fees paid.
14. You understand and acknowledge that Surrey Fingerprinting Services collects your personal information to confirm your identity and to complete your RCMP fingerprint request. All personal information will be destroyed after the RCMP’s retention period has lapsed.
15. Surrey Fingerprinting Services strictly adheres to all relevant privacy legislation. Unless explicitly required by law or court order, your personal information will not be disclosed to anyone or for any purposes without your consent.
16. The safety and security of our staff is our top priority. We will deny service to anyone who exhibits abusive or violent behavior, whether verbally or physically, towards our staff, or if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any such behavior will result in immediate termination of service and potential legal action.
